Staff of The Quaich Inc. volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society, Big Brothers
– Big Sisters, the Four Neighbourhoods Community Health Centre,
Quality of Island Life Cooperative, The Women's Network, annual CIBC Run for the Cure and, this year,
the staff is contributing their many talents to the World Conference on Breast Cancer.
The principal of the company chairs the Advisory Council for the Four Neighbourhoods Community Health Centre and has a special interest in increasing community awareness of breast cancer and fostering the capacity of nurses in the area of breast cancer research and education. She serves on the Board of Directors of the World Conference on Breast Cancer and also chairs the Advisory Committee of the Breast Cancer Care Research and Education Fund established at the University of Prince Edward Island. Proceeds of sales of the Kitchen Witchery Cookbook, published by The Quaich Inc., go to support this fund and a similar fund at the University of Edinburgh.
