The Quaich Services: An Overview

The mission of The Quaich Inc. is to optimize knowledge and resources in promoting the health and safety of communities where people live, work and learn. The company works with clients across sectors to build healthy communities, and - recognizing that organizations are faced with complex challenges - The Quaich draws on its network of associates to bring provincial, national and international experience to any project it undertakes. The services of The Quaich Inc. are based on a solid theoretical foundation and the approach customized to meet the client’s needs.

1. Facilitating Customized Services

Survey Development and Analysis

The Quaich Inc. offers full-service survey creation, maintenance and reporting. We can develop plain language questions, survey invitations, create customized online survey designs, maintain surveys, and write reports which evaluate the responses to both the quantitative and qualitative questions. We can create many different question formats and all survey data is hosted on our secure business server.

Program Evaluation

Employees of The Quaich Inc. are professionally trained and certified by the Canadian Evaluation Society in evaluation methods, and bring experience and expertise in using qualitative and quantitative research methods to assess the effectiveness of your programs. Whether you require a simple evaluation or a full program evaluation, a design can be created to suit your needs.

Literature Reviews

The Quaich Inc. can produce literature reviews to identify, evaluate and interpret the existing works surrounding your topic of interest. The Quaich Inc.’s President, Patsy Beattie-Huggan, is an experienced facilitator who has been teaching, speaking at conferences, facilitating and ‘training the trainer’ for over 25 years.

Project Management

The Quaich Inc. consults on projects and offers services tailored to your organizational needs. The approach used in project management is consultative and facilitative. What makes us unique is our integrated approach, personal touch, diverse staff, and our blend of competency in facilitation skills, knowledge of the change process, and familiarity with technical mediums.

Consultant to the Recurrent Breast Cancer Working Group’s proposal, writing for and focus testing a Navigational Tool for Persons with Advanced Breast Cancer
  Coordinating development of four provincial networks “Expanding the Reach and Relevance of the Summer Institute” to increase representation of remote and marginalized populations in the Institute

Event Planning

The Quaich Inc. can plan your conference, workshop or meeting from start to finish. Event planners will work with you to determine your needs and create the agenda, liaise with vendors such as caterers, location and entertainment staff. Our company is well known for the customized ‘personal touch’ that we add to events.

Where products do not exist and where client resources are available, innovative solutions are created to meet client needs.

Consultant to Recurrent Breast Cancer Working Group’s proposal writing for and focus testing of Developing a Navigational Tool for Persons with Advanced Breast Cancer - a project lead by the CCBI Community Capacity Building Working Group with funding by the CURE Foundation (2005)
  Marketing knowledge products e.g. Circle of Health, System Evaluation Tools, through a contract with the PEI Dept. of Health and Social Services (2001-present)
  Worked with PEI Breast Cancer Information Partnership in launching the Sunflower Seeds of Knowledge - a program for women newly diagnosed with breast cancer for (April-June 1999)
